Social Outreach Programme: Inching towards Green initiatives

RE-USE: Special Website to facilitate the extended use of resources:

The students of Nalanda Public School are looking at beginning a new social outreach programme. We will facilitate extended use of any material/ thing/object that could be of use to someone.

Many of us have things at home that we no longer need. This item could be as small as a needle or as big as a cupboard. The items being offered should be in good usable condition.

We would like to facilitate free provision of items one person may no longer need, to another who has use for it. This will help in re-using-/extended use of resources.

A description and image of an item being offered by someone who would like to dispose it, will be put up on the website. This will be controlled by us. The items will be numbered for ease of identification. The website will be accessible to anyone. Once someone reaches out to us for an item, we will facilitate the drop to, and pick of the item from school. In case it is big and bulky, the item can be picked up directly from the 'giver'.

There is no monetary exchange in this process.

How does the platform work?

Users can list items they wish to share by providing item details and images. Once submitted, the listing goes through an approval process by the admin. After approval, the item becomes available for others to claim.
Who can share items?

Currently, staff members of Nalanda Public School and approved users can list items for Social Outreach.
How can I claim an item?

Interested users can view listed items and directly contact the donor through the provided contact details to arrange pickup.
Is this platform only for school-related items?

No, users can share various items, including household goods, books, electronics, and other essentials, as long as they are in usable condition.
Is there any cost involved?

No, the platform is entirely free. The purpose is to encourage Social Outreach and resource sharing without monetary transactions.
How do I know if my listing is approved?

Once the admin reviews and approves the listing, it will appear in the public directory, and you will receive a confirmation.
Can I edit or remove my listing after submission?

Yes, you can request an edit or removal of your listing through the admin panel.
